This is a private arrangement made with families or teachers who take care of current NIS students in their family home. This is usually a long-term arrangement for a minimum of a semester of an entire school year.
A good home stay provides a family environment for students studying away from home. This is one of the best ways for students from distant cities or foreign countries to enjoy the advantages of an international school while having a guardian who can provide a comfortable living accommodation as well as adult guidance.
A good homestay guardian can help not only with academic school matters, but also with social and emotional needs, allowing the student to grow and flourish both at school and at home. The homestay accommodations recommended by the school are all run by parents of NIS students or teachers at the school. For this reason, they have a good working relationship with the school and have appropriate experience with our student population.
A profile of each homestay can be requested from the PR office. All of the families involved are happy to give a tour of their home for prospective students and their parents prior to making a decision.
NB. The school does not admit students not living with an adult family member or guardian.
