
Thai Language and Culture
The Thai Language and Culture Program at NIS divided into two sections, Thai as a Foreign Languge, and Acamic Thai for Thai Nationals. Non-Thai students have the option of joining the Academic Thai Program with the permission of the teacher. The following is a brief summary of the two programs. Academic Thai

This track is designed to meet the Thai Ministry of Education's requirements for Thai nations. The program involves the study of integrated skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The program also includes literature and Thai culture education following the guidelines set forth by the Thai Ministry of Education curriculum.
Thai as a Foreign Language

This track covers the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with emphasis on the use of language for practical communication. In addition, the track involves the Thai Studies component which includes Thai customs and culture, history, geography, and folklore.
