Nakornpayap International School has brought back, stronger than ever, the Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA). Prior to the meeting, posters could be seen all around campus and emails were sent every day, counting down to the newly modeled PTSA meeting.

The auditorium, where the meeting was held, had an abundance of tasty food and drinks for everyone who joined the meeting. Activities and raffles were part of the event as a way to make the meeting more exciting and interactive, while parent and long-time Chiang Mai resident MC Scott Jones regaled the crowd with jokes and anecdotes.

Various teachers and parents gave empowering speeches to foster enthusiasm in the NIS community, but also to encourage more people to join the movement of helping NIS become the best possible environment for its students.

Senior Linda Michel, hopes the PTSA will, “accomplish the best for the students,” hopefully making the student and parent body, “one community.”

The meeting was a great success, not only because it was a lot of fun, but also because it brought together all corners of the NIS community with a common goal: to make NIS great.

“We hope people come and have some fun, and after that, we hope they stay and contribute,” says newly appointed NIS Principal, Mr. Graham.
