What curriculum do you follow?
NIS offers an English language, American-based program with an international perspective.

What are your class sizes?
In the Early Childhood Center, our classes are limited to fifteen students. In the Elementary School every effort is made to keep the number of students to a maximum of twenty but up to five extra fluent or native English speakers per class may be admitted before splitting the class into two separate classrooms. In the Secondary School we have a limit on twenty students per class. Recently many of our classes throughout all age groups have split, allowing our classes to remain small.
Will my child be able to join NIS from another school system?
We have students joining us from many different school systems, and our teachers are skilled at ensuring the transition is as smooth as possible.

We are coming from another country. How can we organize a visa?
Whenever possible, apply for the non-immigrant education visa (non immigrant ED), before you travel to Thailand. In case you need additional documents, it might become a problem if you try to do everything at the last moment. Regardless of the assistance we may be able to offer it is the applicant’s family who is responsible for the visa.
We can provide you with all the required documentation; however, the applying student(s) must be enrolled at NIS prior to documents being released for immigration purposes by Thai law.
Whilst we are happy to support you with answers to your questions, we must ask you to check with the Thai Embassy nearest to your home, prior to travelling.

Are all of your teachers fully certified?
Central to the teaching and learning experience at Nakornpayap International School are the teaching professionals who form a dedicated and highly-motivated team. All academic staff members have internationally-recognised qualifications; a minimum of a Bachelor Degree either in the subject taught or in Education, but many of our teachers have Master Degree and some hold PhDs. All teaching Staff are also required to undertake on-going teacher training and professional development.

Does NIS have a uniform?
No, we do not have a school uniform, but we do have a dress code. Students are allowed to wear their own choice of clothing according to the school dress code; we ask that every courtesy and discretion is taken when choosing an outfit for the school day. The dress code for G5 and above is described in detail in the parent – student handbook.
