We, at NIS, believe that peace is important and each of us has the global responsibility to promote peace and development. Since last week, NIS has promoted Peace Day. On September 14, we launched the Pinwheels for Peace art installation and the Messages for Peace board. Today, High School students set up informational booths educating everyone about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). There was also an Art Exhibition showing student artwork with the UNSDG as the underlying theme. After walking through the exhibition, students and teachers stopped by the photo booth where they made chalkboard signs with peace messages and took photos with their favorite UNSDG. It was a great day and we’re proud that NIS students and teachers celebrated this special day together.
