Jomtien & Sattahip Naval Base 2019 – Grade 8 Field Trip

On February 8th, 2019, twenty-seven Grade 8 students (and three teachers) returned from the annual Grade 8 field trip to Jomtien & Sattahip Naval Base after three-days of educational (and fun!) experiences.

At NIS our School Mission is to develop critical thinkers who are active, caring members of the global community. In a ‘classroom without walls’, your child has the opportunity to cultivate curiosity and develop self-confidence. They acquire and refine the critical-thinking skills necessary to make sound decisions, and the social awareness to understand the cultures which surround them in this diverse region of the world. We strive to develop knowledgeable, confident, collaborative, creative, engaged, and responsible world citizens.

This field trip has introduced students to the leading role Thailand plays in international trade and logistics (with unprecedented access to Kerry Siam Seaport at Laem Chabang). It has also opened eyes and minds to the important role we all play in being responsible citizens with regards environmental conservation.

NIS opens a world of possibilities for students by providing the rigorous education, inclusive cultural experiences, and global competencies required to learn and lead, today and in the future.
