On April 28, NIS High School Biology Teacher, Ms. Amy Krissanawan, competed in the FameLab Thailand competition in Bangkok where she won the People’s Choice Award for her research and presentation called, “Food Armageddon.” The People’s Choice Award was based on the highest amount of votes from the audience and from viewers online.

Path to the Competition:
In March, Ms. Amy competed against hundreds of scientists in Thailand during auditions and was selected as one of the 24 semi-finalists. After another round of competition, Ms. Amy’s presentations and knowledge of science continued to impress the judges. She was selected as one of the Top 10 Finalists for FameLab Thailand. Upon selection, all finalists attended training and workshops with top specialists in the field of science and communications. And last Saturday, was the big competition, on stage, with over 500 people in the field of science in attendance.
