I first joined the NIS family in January 2013. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics (1st Class Honors) and a Master of Arts in Teaching, both from the University of Leeds (UK), and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Winnipeg (Canada). I also hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership & Management from the Open University (UK).
During my time at NIS, I have had the pleasure of working with wonderful students, parents, and teachers in my various roles as an English Teacher, Head of Middle School, Head of Academic Affairs, Assistant Principal, and now as Principal. I have seen the school grow from under 300 students, to over 500 prior to the global pandemic. I have seen the expansion of our facilities as a result of our ‘do what is best for kids’ philosophy, supportive owner and governing board, and fantastic parent representatives.
I am passionate about teaching and learning, fostering student/ teacher connections, and future-ready learning. It is a pleasure to come to school every day to work with a special group of students and teachers.

I am proud to have been a part of the NIS school community since its founding in 1993. I began my career as a math and science teacher, and over the past 30 years, I have held a variety of teaching and leadership positions. In 2016, I was appointed as the school director.
My educational background includes a Master of Education in Educational Administration, a Master of Science in Biochemistry, a Bachelor of Science from Delhi University in India, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Winnipeg in Canada.
I am passionate about creating a supportive environment where everyone, including students, teachers, and staff, can thrive. I believe that when people feel supported and motivated, they can achieve their full potential. I am committed to providing a high-quality education that prepares students for success in college and beyond. I look forward to continuing to work with students, teachers, and staff to create a school that is both challenging and supportive.

I graduated from Chiang Mai University with a Bachelor’s Degree in German Language and a minor in Mass Communications. In 2004, I began working at NIS as the School Secretary and School Registrar. In 2016, I took on a new role as the School Manager. NIS is my second home. I feel that working in the school is similar to living in a large family. Families focus on caring for their children. Parents would like to see their child succeed, we do too. We encourage each student to be successful and we celebrate diversity. We want our children to try new things, be confident, and be different. If I had to find one word to describe NIS, I would choose the word “colorful” because NIS has a lot of flowers and plants, and also a lot of different people and cultures. NIS is a fantastic place to work. In 2018, NIS will be 25 years old, another big year for NIS to highlight and celebrate our students’ successes over the many years.

I have been at NIS since August 2009 when I had the honor of teaching NIS’ very first dance class and became one of the first women in the Physical Education department at NIS. Throughout the years, I have taught PE, Dance, and Fitness to High School students and established the Creative Movement program for ECC and Elementary students. Even though most of my work has been in physical education and performing arts, I actually graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies (honors) from Hamilton College, New York USA. During my undergraduate studies, I studied abroad at the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing, China and Khon Kaen University, Thailand where I studied the role of education in sustainable community development. I also received a Graduate Diploma in Teaching from Ramkhamhaeng University, Thailand. I wholeheartedly believe that co-curricular programs that boost creativity, confidence, and character are the foundation for our students’ success as they grow up and pursue their life goals after graduation.

Hello NIS families! I am excited to join the team as one of the new K3 teachers for the 2023/2024 academic year.
I was born and raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand and began my academic career by attending preschool at NIS. When I was 16, I moved to Tennessee in the United States, where I finished high school. I then went to Berea College in Kentucky for my B.A. in Child and Family Studies. While attending college, I worked for two years as a Social Media Manager for Berea College’s marketing department. When I graduated, I continued working with the marketing department as the Digital Marketing Associate for a year. In that position, I continued managing Berea College’s various social media outlets while also helping design and launch Berea College’s new website. I earned a Digital Marketing Professional dual certificate from the Digital Marketing Institute and the American Marketing Association.
However, I missed spending time with children and as a child of teachers myself, I missed being in a classroom. I am so happy to be back in my hometown, Chiang Mai, and to work at the school where my father, Andrew McRady, used to be Assistant Principal.
Outside of school, I love reading, cross-stitching, eating Thai food, geocaching, playing DND, traveling and Thai dancing.

This year, I’m very excited to teach grade 3 and help our younger learners discover their passions! As my background is in Earth & environmental science, my goals for this year are rooted in helping to build a strong STEM foundation (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) for our grade 3 kids... All while keeping a fun and supportive atmosphere. (ALL subjects are important of course but I've always personally enjoyed science the most!) This school indeed makes me feel at home; I fell in love with NIS during the first year in which I taught. When I'm not teaching, I like exploring outdoors, learning languages, design and engineering/3D printing projects, learning fermentation/microbial hobbies, and of course I adore everything about science. I am a chemistry and physical science teacher with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Chemistry, as well as a Master of Education. These degrees have helped me develop a strong foundation in both the subject matter and teaching techniques.
In my classroom, I often use project-based learning. I find that hands-on activities make science more interesting and easier to understand. Students can see how what they learn in the classroom connects to the real world.
I work with other teachers and students who are eager to learn. We share ideas and help each other, creating a positive and supportive environment. This teamwork makes teaching and learning more enjoyable and effective.
I also believe in keeping up with new ways of teaching. By learning about and using modern methods, I can give my students the best possible education.
The different backgrounds and cultures of the students and teachers in our school add to the learning experience. We learn from each other and grow together. Our goal is to help students think clearly and solve problems, skills that will help them succeed in science and many other areas of life.

I’ve always had a passion for technology. After growing up and watching science fiction shows like Star Trek or Star Wars, I was hooked on the idea of technology having a major role in my life.
After high school, I took advantage of military opportunities to work on U.S. Army Nuclear Weapons for about 8 years until a peace treaty determined they were no longer needed. The army retrained me as a Patriot Missile System Repairer which I did for another 8 years before being assigned as an army recruiter before my retirement. I moved to Thailand after I retired (20 years) in 2003, and taught English for 2 years near Cambodia in small villages as a volunteer.
Since my retirement, I've earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in International Business from Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I’ve also earned a Master’s Degree in Education in Teaching & Technology from Assumption University.
After earning my MBA, I was the Director of the Language Enhancement Center at Payap University prior to moving to NIS and working in the Academic Access Program (AAP). I'm now working in Middle School as a Computer Science and Digital Literacy teacher.
Although I've only been here for nearly 6 years, I feel like I've grown so much. I feel great satisfaction in being part of a dynamic team that is so influential in changing young people's lives for the better. Of all that I have done in my life, this is the most rewarding and the most important.
